Kosovo national team players withdrew from their match against Romania due to racist chants
Until its final minutes, the match was a goalless draw between the two teams, as they are in the second group in the third stage of the European Nations League.
In the last minutes of the match, the Kosovo national team players entered into an altercation with the Romanian national team players, due to racist chants from the latter’s fans towards the Kosovo players, before the players withdrawn and left the match field and announced their withdrawal and not completing the match.
Romania’s national team goalkeeper, Neita, and some of his teammates, tried to calm his country’s fans in order to continue the match, but the Kosovo national team players continued their position and withdrew from the match. The referee decides to cancel the match and not continue it.
