Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, commented on the slight rise that occurred in the Egyptian pound during the few days, saying: I do not want anyone to be upset by the rise in the price of the dollar.
Madbouly added, during the ceremony of operating and launching the first flight of the Egyptian-Italian RoRo line: We are committed to a flexible exchange rate for the dollar according to market mechanisms, and the dollar will not even be restricted, especially after the result of the American elections. The dollar has become stronger against any other currency, and naturally the Egyptian pound will rise, even if slightly.
The Prime Minister pointed out that what we are witnessing today, with the ship “Wadi Al-Arish” joining the commercial fleet of the National Navigation Company, comes within the framework of integrated efforts to develop the maritime transport sector, and to take various measures and mechanisms that would contribute to restoring the strength of the Egyptian commercial fleet, in implementation of the directives of His Excellency. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to transform Egypt into a regional center for transport, logistics and transit trade.
