The competent investigation authorities set a hearing for Wednesday, November 20, for the appeal against the ruling Imprisonment of Imam AshourAl-Ahly player, 6 months, for assaulting a security personnel in a mall in Sheikh Zayed.
Imam Ashour, Al-Ahly player, was imprisoned
A source revealed to Cairo 24 that the attendance of Imam Ashour, the Al-Ahly player, for the appeal session before the court is obligatory, in order for the incident of his assault on the security personnel to be reconciled.
Lawyer Ali Fayez, Abdullah’s defense agent and security detail in the Imam Ashour incident, said in exclusive statements to Cairo 24 that a reconciliation was reached between the player Imam Ashour and Abdullah Mustafa, in the presence of the player’s father, and Abdullah obtained his moral rights and the necessary compensation.
Imprisonment of Imam Ashour
Counselor Mohamed Othman, Al-Ahly club’s lawyer, said that the ruling issued by the October 6 Court of Appeals, imprisoning Al-Ahly club player Imam Ashour for 6 months on the grounds of accusing him of assaulting a security personnel at Sheikh Zayed Mall, is a ruling in absentia that may be appealed by the opposition.
Othman added in exclusive statements to Cairo 24: Mohab Othman and I, Imam Ashour’s lawyer, were not informed of the date of the session, and therefore we did not appear in court today.
He indicated that he will file an opposition appeal against the issued ruling, which requires suspending the ruling until the case is decided, and that Imam Ashour has the right to practice sports normally.
