The state’s main concern now is to provide a decent life for citizens, and this is an implementation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to reduce the burden on people, provide goods at reasonable prices, and provide various possible forms of support to them. Yesterday, the Minister of Supply and the Governor of Cairo opened the first one-day markets in Nasr City, which will serve a very large number of citizens. .
And I want to tell you, my dear, that after the one-day markets, there will be all the basic commodities such as oil, sugar, rice, vegetables, fruits, juices, honey, legumes, and the availability of eggs and literally everything there at different prices… and that is not the case, and the goods there are of very high quality and also at lower prices than those in the market. The normal rate of discounts starts from 20% up to 50% on some goods, and this remains the goal of the idea of a single market that will surround Cairo Governorate in the coming period.
This is what Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, emphasized and said that the goal of the one-day market is to eliminate the intermediate links between the producer and the consumer to reduce the cost. There will also be 50 cars to sell food commodities to citizens participating in the market, and the market will be held every Friday in the same area from 9 a.m. until 5 pm.
The governor also said that 4 plots of land were provided in Al-Marj, Al-Salam, 15th of May, and the Tenth District to implement the idea of a one-day market on them to ensure that the largest possible number of citizens benefit from the discounts offered by the market.
It will also provide food products at lower than normal prices and of high quality, in cooperation with the Ministry of Supply, the Chamber of Commerce, public and private sector companies, and various community initiatives…
The market will not be for Cairo residents only because the minister promised and said that the experiment will be circulated nationwide soon after its success is proven.
