Issuing 691 licenses for all livestock, poultry and fodder activities and projects in the first half of November

The Livestock and Poultry Development Sector issued a report on its activity during the first half of this November, as part of the state’s efforts to facilitate procedures for licensing livestock, poultry and fodder activities and projects while adhering to all security and biosecurity standards, and facilitating the registration of feed mixtures in accordance with standard controls and standards, while providing all aspects of Support to reach the best performance rates, work to encourage exports and increase exports, and in light of the directives of Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and Engineer Mustafa Al-Sayyad, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, to overcome all obstacles while adhering to controls and standards.

Dr. Tariq Suleiman, head of the sector, said that the most important points contained in the report included:

– Issuing a number of (691 operating licenses) between renewal and the first time for all activities and projects of livestock, fodder, poultry, and dairy collection centers, including a number of (232 permits to practice livestock breeding activity) for small breeders, while adhering to all controls and requirements for security and biosecurity within and around those activities and projects. With the participation of the General Authority for Veterinary Services.

– Approval of registering a number of (387) registrations for feed mixtures, additives, and concentrates, including (205) local registrations and (182) imported registrations, in accordance with scientific standards, controls and standard specifications, in cooperation with the Regional Center for Food and Feed and the Animal Production Research Institute.

– Issuing a number (39) technical approvals to establish new livestock and poultry projects in accordance with the standards and requirements of the preventive dimension and biosecurity in the desert hinterland.

– Providing technical support and conducting and conducting homogenization experiments, with the participation of the Regional Center for Food and Feed and the relevant agricultural directorates, on (25) feed factories in (7) governorates (Dakahlia – Menoufia – Cairo – Giza – Ismailia – Sharkia – Beni Suef), with a number of (56) units. Feed production line (poultry – livestock – fish) in preparation for issuing licenses to operate the production of feed that conforms to standard specifications and achieves the highest performance rates, whether for poultry, livestock, or fish.

– Pumping quantities of table eggs with the participation of the Central Fund for Livestock Development in reclaimed lands through 5 mobile marketing outlets at a price of 150 pounds per dish.

It was also approved to export fish feed, feed additives, poultry products, and frozen poultry (quail, ducks, pigeons, and turkeys) to some Arab and foreign countries.
