Israeli tanks cross Quneitra and advance to the outskirts of the Damascus countryside

Israeli occupation tanks and forces penetrated into the southern countryside of Damascus, adjacent to the Lebanese border, a short while ago in the early hours of Tuesday morning, and occupied a number of Syrian villages.

Local Lebanese media revealed that the Israeli army occupied the villages and towns of Arnah, Baqasim, Al-Raymah, Hina, Qalat Jandal, Hina, Al-Husseiniyah, and Jiata Al-Khashab in the southern Damascus countryside.

He added that Israeli army tanks crossed Quneitra in the buffer zone on the Israeli-Syrian border, and advanced to the outskirts of the Damascus countryside.

Earlier, Syrian media reported that the Israeli occupation army launched violent air strikes targeting strategic sites in the capital, Damascus, as well as in the city of Homs.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that Israeli raids destroyed the scientific research center in Barzeh, northeast of Damascus.

Reuters reported that at least two explosions occurred near a Syrian government center linked to the production of chemical weapons in Barzeh, Damascus.

According to the Syrian media, the occupation aircraft launched 4 raids on the helicopter airport in Aqraba in the Damascus countryside, and Israeli warplanes continued to fly over the capital.

The occupation forces also launched bombing targeting the Shinchar area in the countryside of Homs, where fires broke out and smoke rose in the sites bombed by the occupation.

Israeli Army Radio said that army forces were attacking military ships anchored in the port of Latakia in northwestern Syria.
