In a related context, the Israeli army spokesman announced that an Israeli officer was killed and three others were seriously injured during the ongoing battles in the Gaza Strip, according to Hebrew reports.
The spokesman explained that Staff Sergeant Zamir Burak was killed after his D-9 bulldozer was targeted by an anti-armor shell in the Jabalia area, while another soldier was seriously injured in the same incident. He also pointed out that there were other incidents over the weekend, where a soldier from the 46th Battalion in the 401st Brigade was seriously injured as a result of an anti-tank missile attack that targeted a tank in Rafah.
Another soldier from the 82nd Battalion of the 7th Brigade was also seriously injured in an incident not related to enemy fire on the northern border.
