You know that there are people who die because they cannot find treatment.. And surely we all see families running from one hospital to another, carrying the worry of money on top of the worry of the disease.. How can we help critical cases who do not have health insurance? Can we guarantee that we provide them with the money they need?
These are questions we all ask, and from here began the initiative launched by the Central Bank in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Medical Emergency Response Fund and Genetic Diseases, in order to change the lives of many people and provide new hope.
So break
The Central Bank of Egypt announced today the signing of a cooperation protocol with the Fund for Confronting Medical Emergencies and Genetic Diseases of the Ministry of Health and Population in a practical step to implement the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to eliminate medical waiting lists and save cases that need quick and expensive interventions in their time and with the required speed.
The signing was attended by Hassan Abdullah, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, and the Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, and they spoke about the importance of this step in helping thousands of Egyptians who need health care that is not easily available to them.
So, what will really happen after this protocol?
The idea is simply that the Central Bank, along with other entities in the banking sector, will financially support critical cases in specialties such as heart surgery, orthopedics, and corneal transplantation. This means that if someone needs a large or complex operation, this support will provide him with the required care without incurring any costs.
Imagine the situation with me! A simple family, their son is seriously ill, private hospitals are expensive, and time is limited. This protocol gives them the opportunity to receive treatment in government, private, or private hospitals without paying a single pound
However, the support is not limited only to major operations. No, it also covers the health services required for those in need, in order to reduce their burdens and guarantee them comprehensive medical care.
This is an important step, not only to relieve pain for patients, but also to improve the quality of life of their families and reduce psychological pressure on them.
And not only that, this protocol comes within the “A New Beginning for Human Development” initiative, which was launched by the Ministerial Group for Human Development. This is an initiative that will last for 100 days, and its goal is to directly and quickly improve the quality of life of Egyptians.
Through this protocol, the Central Bank confirms its role in social responsibility, and that it is not just a financial institution. No, this is an institution whose goal is to support initiatives that achieve a tangible impact on society.
Hassan Abdullah said that the Central Bank devotes its efforts to important presidential initiatives, and considers the health sector one of the bank’s priorities in order to improve people’s lives and reduce the burdens on Egyptian families.
So, what can we gain from this protocol?
Hope for a better life for many people who need medical care that is not available to them because of the cost. This is a real beginning towards a society that cares for its members and feels their problems. Today, the Central Bank and the Fund for Combating Medical Emergencies and Genetic Diseases are saying to thousands of Egyptians: “We are beside you, and without you paying, We will try to change your life.”
This is just the beginning, and the Central Bank and the Ministry of Health are working on other projects whose primary goal is to improve the quality of life of Egyptians. This is something that counts for them, because they deal with real needs and strive to meet them.
In the end…this protocol is not just paper, and I hope and finish…this is a practical step to seriously save people’s lives and stand by everyone in need of health assistance.
