Engineer Ahmed Abdel Jaber, head of the New Beni Suef City Development Authority, stated that a campaign was launched in cooperation with the city’s reconstruction police department, which resulted in the implementation of 27 decisions to close and seal off illegal shops operating without a license in the city center area and the second residential district, in addition to taking legal measures with the knowledge of the police. Reconstruction, in implementation of the directives of Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister Housing Urban facilities and communities, by removing all violations in new cities, and not allowing any activity to be carried out without obtaining the necessary licenses.

Engineer Ahmed Abdel Jaber stressed that there will be no reluctance to deter violators and apply the law to everyone, stressing that the agency will not allow any activity to be carried out without completing the legal procedures and obtaining the necessary licenses to practice commercial activities.

In the same context, Engineer Mohamed El-Sayed Abdel-Maqsoud, head of the Shorouk City Development Authority, stated that 6 decisions had been implemented to close and seal violating shops in the commercial markets in the First and Second Districts, and the committee formed by the city agency and members of the Construction Police Department led by Colonel Ahmed El-Menawy, head of the department. By disconnecting the utilities (electricity – water) to prevent them from restarting.

The head of the agency explained that legal measures had been taken against the violators, and some violations in and around the markets were lifted, with reservations about occupancy and 9 reports issued against the violators.

Engineer Ali Saad stressed that neighborhood heads should periodically inspect all shops in commercial markets to review operating licenses and licensed activities and take immediate measures against violators with the aim of preserving the cultural pattern of Shorouk City.
