If you are one of those people who love to travel, or are thinking about traveling outside of Egypt soon, or are planning to become an ambassador to work abroad, then this video is for you, especially since it will inform you of the limits of money and foreign currencies that are allowed with travelers, and also how you can cross any number of money you have without causing you a problem. Or a report is made for you at airports or ports
Surely, one day I heard or read on a news site or even on social media sites about the arrest of a passenger or traveler, whether at various Egyptian airports or ports of entry, because he had a lot of money, whether in foreign currency or Egyptian currency. The question here is why would the security services arrest someone coming? From traveling, he had two piasters with him. They were miserable and had been abroad for many years.
And before someone laughs at you and tells you that the state wants to upset people and take their money and laugh at them, I will tell you about the solution that if you have any money or foreign currencies, which you can give as a gift without causing you any problem or anyone telling you anything.
The solution that I will tell you about was determined by Law No. 194 of 2020 of the Central Bank and Banking System Law, which set the controls for the entry of foreign exchange with travelers at the time of their arrival from abroad. According to this law, the entry of foreign exchange with travelers is guaranteed for all people, provided that you state the time of your arrival at the airport in the event that It was more than 10 thousand US dollars or their equivalent in other foreign currencies.
Okay, this is about people who come from traveling. So, are there procedures for people who are traveling while they have a lot of dollars, especially if the person traveling is an investor or businessman, or even someone going to do an operation or anything outside Egypt?
Law No. 194 of 2020 also specifies the limits for foreign exchange with travelers, which is a right guaranteed to all travelers, provided that it does not exceed 10,000 US dollars or their equivalent in other foreign currencies. It is also possible for the traveler to take more than that, provided that he states the main reason that He will take this amount to him and provide evidence that confirms his words.
Law No. 194 of 2020 prohibits travelers from entering or exiting Egyptian or foreign currency via postal letters and parcels.
