Dr. Manal Awad, Minister, expressed Local development She expressed her happiness at winning today the Arab Government Excellence Award in its third session 2023-2024, in the category of Best Arab Governor, as the first Egyptian woman to have the honor of winning this award since its inception, noting that this award is a badge on her chest, and she dedicates it to every Arab and Egyptian woman who struggles and contributes to development. Manal Awad indicated that receiving this award is a tribute to Egyptian women and a culmination of their efforts and continuous striving for the best, especially during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The Minister of Local Development extended all thanks and appreciation to all those in charge of the Arab Government Excellence Award, which is the largest Arab award in the field of development and excellence. Administrative work in the region, and as a real impetus to improve government performance in our Arab countries.
Manal Awad also extended her sincere thanks to the government of the sisterly United Arab Emirates, and the generous patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the Arab Administrative Development Organization, and the League of Arab States.
The Minister of Local Development added: I extend my sincere thanks to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and his continuous guidance over the past ten years. To empower Egyptian women in all vital sectors of the Egyptian state.. Indeed, we are in the diamond age of Egyptian women, not the golden age, in light of the great and unprecedented interest that the political leadership gives to empowering women and assuming the highest political, economic, social, and cultural positions in the new republic.
Manal Awad praised all the work teams that she worked with during her assumption of responsibility in Damietta Governorate, extending to them sincere thanks and appreciation for their efforts and giving. Without their continuous efforts, we would not have been able to win the Arab Government Excellence Award and achieve all the achievements and successes on the governorate’s soil, adding: I extend my sincere thanks. To Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and to all former local development ministers and the various Egyptian state institutions and ministries who provided all support and assistance to witness Damietta Governorate witnessed an unprecedented boom in all service and development sectors.
The Minister of Local Development explained that over the past ten years, there has been unprecedented interest in the role of women in Egyptian society, as the political leadership supported all the rights of Egyptian women and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has confirmed on more than one occasion that Egypt pays special attention to women, to achieve a qualitative shift in all issues. This is why policies were introduced to enhance women’s political and economic potential.
