Artist revealed Ahmed WafikHe does not seek to work in the field of art, in order to gain fame or stardom like other art stars, but rather seeks to present meaningful artistic work that reaches the audience.
Ahmed Wafik said, in statements to Cairo 24: I am not delusional about the idea of remaining a star, because I do not act in order to remain better than anyone or outperform anyone. Art is much sweeter than that, and I am not afraid that when I refuse a director’s work, he will not accept me again, because my family raised me to That’s it.
Artist Ahmed Wafik confirmed that the audience deserves to be treated with humility, explaining: The audience deserves for you to stay well with them and be humble, so why do you condescend to them?!
Ahmed Wafik: We worked closely with addiction patients
In a different context, Ahmed Wafik previously spoke about his participation in the series Under Control, starring the artist Nelly Karim, stressing that there are many hospitals that were opened to treat addiction after the work was shown.
Ahmed Wafik said: “Under Control” is an important series. We made an acting competition and a breakthrough in performance to present the character of the addict, and we worked with addiction patients and psychiatrists to learn more about the disease.
