Dr. Qandil explained in a statement that these elections aim to motivate students to participate politically and enhance their role in volunteer work and various student activities. It also seeks to consolidate national awareness, uphold the values of belonging and societal responsibility, and deepen the concepts of democracy, human rights and citizenship among students.
The General Administration of Youth Welfare announced the names of committee secretaries and assistant secretaries at the college level for the student union elections as follows:
– College of Arts, Secretaries of the Committees (Family, Artistic, Sports, Cultural, Traveling, Social, Scientific): Youssef Ahmed Youssef Issa Ismail, Marwan Sayed Mahmoud Zaki Muhammad Al-Helbawy, Ahmed Hisham Tawfiq Fahmy Ishaq, Saif El-Din Sameh Hassan Ahmed Sayed, Jana Ashraf Shalaby. Ibrahim Muhammad, Israa Muhammad Riyad Ahmed Awadallah, Maryam Hassan Rizq Saad Abdul Salam, and the position of assistant secretaries at the college was won by: Abdul Rahman Muhammad Nabil Muhammad. Helwan University confirmed that elections for the president and vice president of the union will be held at the college level on Wednesday, November 27, and finally the elections will conclude on Thursday, November 28, with elections for committee secretaries, the president of the union, and his deputy at the university level.
