A student in his mid-twenties was killed as a result of a motorcycle colliding with him while crossing the road, in the district of Akhmim Center in Sohag Governorate.
Report of a traffic accident in Akhmim Center in Sohag
Major General Sabri Saleh Azab, Assistant Minister of the Interior, Director of Sohag Security, received a notification from Major General Mahmoud Taha, Director of Criminal Investigation, reporting a collision with a deceased and an injured person in Akhmim Center.
Major Ibrahim Saqr, Chief of Investigations at Akhmim Police Station, and his assisting team immediately moved in, and it was found that while a motorcycle was driving, the person called Youssef K. A. F. – 20 years old, a student and resident of the center’s district, moved.
On the aforementioned road, he collided with the person called Ahmed MA – 17 years old, a student and resident of the same area, while crossing the road, followed by the bike and its rider overturning.
The accident resulted in the death of the second person as a result of his injuries – and the body was transferred to the morgue of Akhmim Central Hospital, and the motorcycle driver sustained a scalp wound – a suspected fracture of the right foot, and he was transferred to New Sohag University Hospital.
The motorcycle driver and the uncle of the deceased, Khaled M.A.H., 31 years old, a worker and resident of the same district, stated the contents of the above. The latter accused the motorcycle driver of causing the accident and denied the criminal suspicion.
The necessary report on the incident shall be prepared in preparation for presenting it to the competent investigation authorities.
