The events of the case go back to July 2023, when the investigating authorities charged the defendant, S.M., 36 years old, a preparatory teacher in the Qus Educational Administration, with the charge of forging an official document, which was a medical report stating that he had cancer, with the intention of obtaining sick leave.
Investigations revealed that the accused came to the General Medical Committee for Health Insurance in Qena to obtain a sick leave, and claimed that he was sick and bedridden because he had stomach cancer. He presented to the committee a medical report from the Qena Oncology Center, a blood picture from the Qena Oncology Center, a pathological analysis, and an endoscopy report prepared from the Qena Center.
