Damanhour University, headed by Dr. Elhamy Tarabis, President of Damanhour University, announced the results of the final stage of the university’s student elections for the academic year 2024/2025, according to the timetable approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which resulted in the student Hazem Okdeh, Faculty of Commerce, winning the position of President of the University Student Union. Trabis stressed that Damanhour University witnessed a free democratic experience of electoral practice, pointing out that student union elections are the first step to forming the students’ personalities, and it is considered the first school for democracy and the practice of public work, as it gives students a real opportunity to participate in decision-making and manage their university affairs, and prepares them to be future leaders. In order to participate effectively in community development.
The President of Damanhour University praised the broad participation of male and female university students in voting in the elections in various university colleges, amid a package of procedures and measures in accordance with the organization’s regulations, and within a framework of freedom, transparency, and respect for university traditions and customs, without any violation or transgression of university rules.
