Portuguese coach Jose Gomez, coach of the club team, studies Zamalek Moroccan player Mahmoud Bentaek, the team’s left back, returns to the starting lineup in the team’s next match on Monday in the fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League competition.

A source in the team’s technical staff revealed to Cairo 24 that the Portuguese coach is considering the player’s return again to participate mainly after he was a substitute in the team’s last match against Al-Masry in the third round of the league, which ended with Zamalek’s defeat with a goal to nothing.

The coach believes that the next Al-Mahalla match requires the presence of Bentaek from the beginning of the match, provided that Ahmed Fattouh is used in another position on the field to benefit from his offensive capabilities more than his defensive capabilities.

The Portuguese coach wants to return to the series of local victories that stopped after the defeat against Al-Masry in the last round of the league competition, which was enough to put Zamalek at the top of the league early.

Zamalek had won at the opening of the league over the National Bank team with three goals to nothing scored by Nasser Maher, Nasser Mansi and Abdullah Al-Saeed, while in the second match it won over the Smouha team with two goals to nothing scored by Nasser Mansi and Mustafa Shalaby before losing to Al-Masry. Port Saidi with a goal for nothing.
