The Brentford club said in an official statement a short while ago: For the rest of this season, youth fans under the age of 18 will not pay more than 10 pounds to watch the Brentford team in the English Premier League, whether that is young people who support our team, or fans of the away team who support it. They travel to watch their team take on Brentford at GTech Stadium.

The club continued: Football is for everyone. This is our commitment to ensuring that the next generation grows up with a love for the game, and not just being deprived of it because of its prices.

The English club added through its statement: Under the Gen10 initiative, Brentford will subsidize the cost of tickets for English Premier League matches away from home, where the host club charges more than 10 pounds, to help reduce the overall cost.

He confirmed: The club will also reduce the prices of league tickets at its stadium to £10 for all visitors under the age of 18. Currently, the cost of tickets can reach £25 for away matches in the English Premier League for those under the age of 18.

He concluded: The Gen10 initiative is based on the cap on the price of tickets for Premier League matches of £30 for adults. We want to go a step further and that is why we are expanding this principle to include young fans, proving that more can be done to ensure football is accessible to families and young people.
