In this context, the Operations and Crisis Management Room at the General Office of Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate received a notification from the Burullus Port Authority about the cessation of navigation in the port, in addition to the reluctance of fishing boats to operate.

This came as a result of the waves in the Mediterranean Sea exceeding the permissible limit for maritime navigation, in conjunction with the intensity of the winds and weather fluctuations to which the country is exposed.

For its part, the General Authority of Meteorology published a statement on its official page on the social networking site Facebook, warning of the weather fluctuations that various parts of the Republic are exposed to today.

Meteorology indicated disturbances in maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, and the Gulf of Suez. This comes as a result of the country being affected by an extension of a depression centered on the Mediterranean Sea.

It also warned of active wind movement over most parts of the Republic, as well as the proliferation of low and medium clouds that result in rainfall of varying intensity.
