A delegation from First Abu Dhabi Bank Egypt visited the Al-Faluga Village Development Project in Badr Center in Beheira Governorate to celebrate the results achieved. The results of this project achieve 12 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which reflects First Abu Dhabi Bank Egypt’s keenness to make a real difference on the ground in Local communities.
First Abu Dhabi Bank Egypt is the first bank to cooperate with the Orman Association in the “Biogas” initiative, which is considered an important step towards energy sustainability, as biogas units were installed, which contributed to generating clean energy. Through cooperation with the Orman Association, First Abu Dhabi Bank Egypt was able to improve the standard of living and provide a decent life for the most needy families, as 20 houses were developed in the village as an initial stage, and 12 heads of Ashar’s cattle were distributed to develop livestock, which supports the local environment and economy. The Bank is proud of its contribution to empowering small business owners and providing sustainable economic opportunities, by providing financial support to 40 small projects, in addition to training courses to enhance financial inclusion and electronic payment methods.
It should be noted that the project succeeded in achieving 12 goals of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and Egypt’s Vision 2030, which are: eradicating poverty, eliminating hunger, good health and well-being, clean water and sanitation, decent work and economic growth, responsible consumption and production, and clean energy. Affordability, climate action, sustainable cities and communities, gender equality, reducing inequalities, and partnering to achieve the goals.
