English press reports revealed that the International Federation of Association Football “FIFA“, is considering holding the 2029 Club World Cup in the United States of America again.

The English newspaper The Athletic confirmed that FIFA is currently considering assigning the hosting of the Club World Cup in 2029 to the United States of America, noting that this decision will first pass the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Council, which has not happened so far.

The English newspaper explained that if America hosts the 2029 edition, this will add to the series of unprecedented international football events held in the country, and this will be the sixth major tournament hosted by the United States in only 8 years, as it began this summer with the Copa America tournament.

The newspaper indicated that part of FIFA’s thinking behind holding the Club World Cup in America in 2029 is that it will enable FIFA to unite the American sponsors of this tournament, in addition to holding the 2026 World Cup event.

The newspaper reported that other countries are likely to face competition from the United States to host the 2029 Club World Cup.
