Rio Ferdinand broke down as he opened up on coming to terms with losing his wife Rebecca to breast cancer in his documentary last night.
But after Being Mum and Dad aired, the whole nation was right behind the former England football player. Viewers rushed to Twitter to tell Rio they had “major respect” for him after his brutally honest programme about dealing with grief and mental health issues.

Speaking in his documentary Rio Ferdinand: Being Mum and Dad, Rio explained how he put his sadness “into a box”
