Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Environment launched an inspection campaign in Beheira, in cooperation with the Industrial Development Authority, on a number of factories working in the fields of both plastics and food production, and the necessary measures were taken against those that violated them.
The Ministry added in a statement issued today, Sunday, that the noise level in the environment surrounding a number of factories and companies located within the governorate was monitored.
The Buhaira Branch also carried out a traffic campaign to examine car exhausts in cooperation with the General Traffic Department, during which the exhaust of 43 cars was examined, showing that 39 cars and 4 cars violated the limits permitted by the Environmental Law, and the necessary legal measures were taken against the violating cars.
The Ministry indicated that the Greater Cairo Branch also carried out qualitative monitoring of the Nile River water in the Cairo and Giza governorates, where 9 samples were drawn from the Nile River from multiple points, and they are being analyzed and the results are known. The branch also carried out an inspection campaign on a number of foundries located in the Greater Cairo area. Legal measures were taken against the violator.
The Ministry stated that, through its branches in Greater Cairo and Beheira, it implemented a number of awareness and tree planting campaigns within the scope of both branches. The Greater Cairo branch also donated the center and city of Auseem in Giza Governorate a number of (1,000) trees to be planted in a number of random dumps from which garbage was removed, in order to encourage citizens to Planting trees as a way to beautify areas and purify the air from pollutants.
