As part of his current visit to Germany, Eng. Hassan Al-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, met with Mr. Nathaniel Leminsky, Deputy Prime Minister of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and Minister of European and International Federal Affairs and Information in the state, following the Minister’s arrival in the city of Dusseldorf, the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, and the beginning of the work and activities of the first session. For the economic summit between Egypt and the German state, which is the richest in Germany with a domestic product exceeding one trillion dollars, an official reception was organized at the Prime Minister’s Office for the minister and the accompanying delegation. for him.
During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of holding the annual economic summit and the need to reach a joint action plan to raise the volume of trade and investment exchange between the two sides. The investment incentives that Egypt can grant to German companies operating in the state of North Rhine were reviewed, with a focus on many sectors such as new energy, infrastructure and the sector. Communications, information technology, artificial intelligence, chemicals, etc.
The two sides expressed their aspiration for the success of the summit, which will be opened tomorrow in the presence of a large number of German companies, and that arrangements for the second session in Egypt next year will begin immediately.
During the meeting, Al-Khatib reviewed the economic reforms recently adopted by the Egyptian government and the government’s plan to improve the business environment for German companies.
For his part, Leminski, Deputy Prime Minister of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and Minister of European and International Federal Affairs and Information in the state, praised the efforts made by the Egyptian government, stressing that such visits and events are of utmost importance to inform German companies of the investment opportunities available in Egypt and the investment stimulating measures taken by the Egyptian government.
The German side also stressed the importance of reaching a mechanism to qualify and train Egyptian workers to work in Germany.
