Egyptian cinema is the mother of the Arab world

The opening of the 45th session of the Cairo International Film Festival witnessed a prominent moment, as a number of stars wore the map of Palestine on their costumes, in a symbolic message to support the Palestinian cause. The festival’s president, the artist Hussein Fahmy, commented on this step, saying: Anyone who wants to carry this map should carry it. Whoever needs it can come and get it.

Artist Hussein Fahmy, President of the Cairo Film Festival, confirmed during a meeting held on the sidelines of the opening of the Film Industry Market, within the activities of the Cairo Film Festival in its 45th session, that Egyptian cinema is the mother industry in the Arab world, saying: Egyptian cinema began with the beginnings of cinema in The world is fine and will always be fine. Fahmy also expressed his great happiness with the positive reactions to the opening ceremony, praising the Arab interaction with the festival. He said: The Cairo Festival is first-class, and it must continue, and there are very many activities that support its continuation.

It is noteworthy that the Cairo International Film Festival is one of the most important cinematic events in the Arab world, and combines the celebration of art with highlighting major humanitarian issues.
