Egypt will return to being a global center in the textile industry…a strategic industry revival plan

The Egyptian government is now focusing its eyes on the most important industries in which Egypt was distinguished in the past, such as the automobile industry, spinning and weaving, and that is why it is now trying to restore its glories again, and this appeared in the past days with the celebration of the return of the work of the Al-Nasr Automobile Company, and also the revival of the textile industry. All of this, of course, is mandated by President Sisi, who is implementing a comprehensive renaissance plan for all state sectors, which will leave us in a state. Again, it competes with major countries in all industries

For this reason, Engineer Mohamed Shimi, Minister of the Public Business Sector, met with the heads of the Ministry’s companies operating in the textile sector, and discussed the latest developments and the progress of work in the various sites and axes included in the project, within the framework of periodic follow-up of the executive position of the national project to develop the textile industry. And revive it again

The Minister stressed the importance of reviving the historic industrial sector of spinning and weaving, which represents one of the main pillars of the Egyptian economy, and contributes to achieving a qualitative leap in the level of quality and production. It also represents an important step in maximizing the added value of local products, opening new export markets, and supporting the national economy, and is considered It is one of the largest industrial projects implemented in the public business sector.

Also, developing the textile industry is considered an essential part of the Ministry’s strategy to raise the efficiency of its subsidiaries and enhance their competitiveness in local and international markets.

This comprehensive development plan includes establishing new factories, modernizing existing factories, modern machines and equipment, training workers on the latest technologies, and all of which support careful follow-up of existing projects to overcome any challenges, accelerate the pace of completion, and achieve the desired goals within the specified times.

The first good news was the trial operation of the “Spinning 1” factory, monitoring the workflow and production and export rates in the new “Spinning 4” factory, and also implementing the final works in the “Textile Preparations 1” factory and the new electricity station, and progressing implementation rates in the rest of the factories at the Misr Spinning and Weaving Company. In Mahalla El-Kubra, there are also developments in development projects and new factories in the Misr Spinning and Weaving and Al-Bayda Dyers companies in Kafr El-Dawwar, Dakahlia Spinning and Weaving, and Damietta Spinning. Weaving, Shebin El-Kom Spinning and Weaving, Upper Egypt Spinning and Weaving, and Misr Helwan Spinning and Weaving.

And all of this, while emphasizing the necessity of adhering to the specified timetables, and ensuring the achievement of tangible results in improving productivity and quality, and not only that, no, all of this also happens with the development of the human element, which is considered an integral part of the development plan, because all of this contributes to improving Productivity and ensuring long-term sustainability of development.

If the plan is actually implemented in its entirety, the textile sector will be the locomotive of development in the industrial sector in the coming period, and we will be able to achieve the project objectives, meet the needs of the local market, and also enhance the competitiveness of the national industry in global markets, which is exactly what is required.
