Egypt and Sudan are discussing updating the bilateral air transport agreement

Cairo – Live: Mohamed Manar, Minister of Civil Aviation in Egypt, discussed with Hashem Ibn Auf, Sudanese Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, the modernization of the bilateral air transport agreement, as well as cooperation in the field of legislation, within the framework of keeping pace with the volume of expected increase in air and commercial traffic between the two countries, which contributes to Increasing exports and imports between them.

Manar stressed in a statement issued on Sunday that the political leadership attaches great importance to strengthening permanent cooperation between Egypt and Sudan in various sectors, especially in the field of civil aviation and the advancement of this important vital facility, which represents an embodiment of the distinguished cooperation between the two countries.

This came during the meeting held by Mohamed Manar, Minister of Civil Aviation, via video conference technology, with Hashem bin Auf, Sudanese Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, in the presence of Montaser Manna, Deputy Minister of Aviation, and a group of the ministry’s leaders and heads of the boards of directors of affiliated companies.

He stated that the meeting discussed the mechanisms of the strategic partnership between EgyptAir and Sudanese Airlines in the field of maintenance, technical work, ground services, air freight, and training.

He pointed out the importance of the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries and enhancing aspects of joint cooperation and exchange of experiences in various fields of civil aviation.

For his part, the Sudanese Minister of Infrastructure and Transport stressed that there are many ways of cooperation and integration between the Egyptian and Sudanese sides and that the Sudanese government has a strong desire to exchange experiences in the field of the air transport industry through the implementation of a number of major projects that aim to achieve common interests between the two countries. .
