Due to a fire, the Japanese Space Agency stops testing the Epsilon S rocket engine

A spokesman for the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) stated that the agency is currently working to verify conditions at the site, according to what was published by Reuters.

Footage broadcast by the Japanese Broadcasting Corporation revealed that a fire broke out shortly after the ground combustion test began, and an explosion was heard, and it was not immediately clear whether the fire had caused any damage.

The failure of the previous Epsilon S rocket engine test in July 2023 led to months of investigations that caused delays in Japan’s national space missions and satellite launch plans.
