Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, Chairman of the Health Care Authority, said that 800 medical services have been created in the comprehensive health insurance system and in the health insurance governorates.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki explained, during his speech at the annual health care forum, that the authority has 43,000 medical staff, and over the past five years it was able to launch 79 mission programs abroad, to train them on the latest developments and updated protocols.
Health care: 60% of our financial needs are covered in some governorates through self-resources
Ahmed Al-Sabki stressed the achievement of high revenues, including foreign exchange, through the medical tourism project “We Care for You,” and covering our needs through self-resources by 60%.
He pointed to the issuance of 27 million electronic prescriptions, and the trend towards relying on artificial intelligence applications during the coming period in cooperation with health care, and at the beginning of next year, the developments of this project and the negotiations it reached will be announced.
In a related context, Dr. Ahmed Othman, advisor to the President of the Health Care Authority for training and professional development, revealed to Cairo 24 the developments of the reference project concerned with developing guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of patients in the Authority’s hospitals, explaining that the Authority has developed guidelines for about 500 medical problems in medical specialties. Various, based on scientific evidence, and this evidence was distributed to the Authority’s hospitals.
