Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, stated that work is being completed to raise the efficiency of the road and development system in several areas in the cities of May 15, Shorouk, New Beni Suef, and other cities, as part of the efforts of the Ministry’s agencies to raise the efficiency of infrastructure and develop services.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny stressed the speedy completion of the remaining work on the projects according to the timetables, with the necessity of using the best materials to ensure achieving the highest levels of quality, in a manner befitting the importance of the projects and their target, to be an addition to the development system in the new cities.
In this context, Engineer Ali Saad, head of the May 15 City Development Authority, explained that asphalt layer work had been carried out in the 50-acre area for social housing buildings, as part of efforts to raise the efficiency and develop the city’s infrastructure.
During his tour of the site, Saad was briefed on the progress of the works and ensuring their implementation according to the specified timetable, stressing the importance of adhering to the highest quality standards in implementation to ensure comfort and safety for the city’s residents.
The head of the agency explained that the project aims to improve and modernize road infrastructure in a way that contributes to facilitating traffic movement and providing a safe environment for residents.
In the same context, Engineer Mohamed El-Sayed Abdel-Maqsoud, head of the Shorouk City Authority, added that the work of implementing the asphalt layer on the new eastern axis is being completed, in light of the ongoing work to raise the road efficiency in the city.
The head of the agency explained that the current and final work plan targets the southern sector, which starts from the entrance to Al-Shabab Junctions until the entrance to City No. 3, located on the Cairo/Suez Road, for the dilapidated parts along the road at the work site.
The head of the agency directed that the work be completed in an optimal manner, while directing cleaning campaigns and removing waste from the central island area and the sidewalks, with the aim of making it easier for residents and road users.
Engineer Ahmed Abdel-Jaber Abdallah, head of the New Beni Suef City Authority, continued the work of maintaining and raising the efficiency of the roads, main axes and entrances to the city, to find out the latest developments and overcome various obstacles to advance development and raise its completion rate.
Engineer Ahmed Abdel Jaber Abdallah stressed on the implementing company the need to complete the work being implemented with the required specifications and quality as quickly as possible and in accordance with the project’s timetables, and to pay attention to coordinating the site to preserve the cultural and aesthetic appearance of the city’s entrances.
