Coinciding with President Sisi’s visit… trade between Egypt and Denmark recorded a growth of 21.7% in 10 months

Recent data issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics revealed that the value of trade between Egypt and Denmark grew by 21.7% to record $292 million during the first 10 months of 2024, compared to $240 million during the same period last year.

This coincided with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, heading today to the city of Copenhagen, the capital of the Kingdom of Denmark, at the beginning of a European tour, within the framework of enhancing cooperation and coordination between Egypt and Denmark.

40% growth in Egypt’s exports to Denmark within 10 months

Data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics showed a growth in the value of Egypt’s exports to Denmark to reach $63 million, compared to $45 million, a growth of 40%. The agency stated that they include machines, electrical appliances and their parts worth $23 million, and ready-made clothing worth $13 million.

Egypt exported to Denmark food industry waste and animal food worth $12 million, vegetables and fruits worth $8 million, and vegetable and fruit preparations and their parts worth $5 million.

The value of Danish investments in Egypt recorded $9.2 million during the fiscal year 2022/2023, compared to $6.3 million during the fiscal year 2021/2022.

The value of remittances from Egyptians working in Denmark increased by $13.2 million during the fiscal year 2022/2023, compared to $11.4 million during the fiscal year 2021/2022.

The value of remittances from Danes working in Egypt declined to $394,000 during the fiscal year 2022/2023, compared to $552,000 during the fiscal year 2021/2022.

President Sisi’s tour of some European countries

The spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic announced the arrival of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the Kingdom of Denmark at the beginning of his European tour, which also includes the Kingdom of Norway and the Republic of Ireland, within the framework of enhancing cooperation and coordination between Egypt and European countries.
