The celebration is scheduled to continue from seven in the evening until one in the morning the next day. The celebration will also be completed tomorrow in the presence of the Governor of South Sinai, and a number of ambassadors from countries, led by the Greek Ambassador to Egypt.

For his part, Hossam Sobhi, Director of the Antiquities of Saint Catherine, said in statements to Cairo 24 that Saint Catherine sacrificed her life to serve Christians, and her remains were found on the highest mountain peak in Egypt, and the mountain was named Mount Catherine in memory of her.
The director of St. Catherine’s Antiquities added that today’s celebration began with a long mass from seven o’clock in the evening, and is scheduled to continue until one o’clock in the morning the next day, in the presence of thousands of guests and tourists from the Greek Orthodox community.
He added that the celebration on the second day begins at eight in the morning and will continue until one in the afternoon tomorrow, Sunday.
