Currently, Egypt has entered with full force into the car manufacturing sector, and the government is currently aiming to manufacture cars at competitive prices at the global level, especially since Egypt has a goal of being a regional industrial center for the car industry worldwide.
Media Advisor to the Council of Ministers, Mohamed Al-Homsani, said that the government held more than one meeting with car manufacturing companies, especially Nissan Egypt, to discuss increasing the local production of car factories, especially since the state is keen to deepen the car industry by increasing the local component, reducing production costs, and covering the needs of the Egyptian market and the trend. To export to global markets and open a new dollar door for Egypt in manufacturing and exporting cars.
Al-Homsani continued his speech and said that the government is seeking to raise the level of local production of cars, and this step will be a major reason for the decline in the prices of cars in the Egyptian market in the short term, especially with the increase in local production, which will include stopping imports from abroad.
Al-Homsani also said that the government’s strategies in the car industry are based on raising the local component in manufacturing, and this will contribute to reducing dependence on imports, and will help improve the competitiveness of Egyptian products in foreign markets.
Al-Homsani concluded his speech and said that the government, represented by the Ministry of Industry, has completed the preparation of the National Strategy for Industry 2024/2030, which will include a future vision for Egypt to invest in the unique capabilities that Egypt enjoys, such as its strategic location as a regional center and the diversity of its natural resources, in addition to the advanced infrastructure that Egypt possesses, especially since The National Strategy for Industry, deliberately developing financial and monetary policies and amending investment incentives, to enhance the growth of the Egyptian market and encourage the development of green industries and sectors.
