Banque du Caire participates in financial inclusion activities to celebrate the International Day of People with Disabilities

Banque du Caire actively participates in the financial inclusion initiatives for people with disabilities, which are organized by the Central Bank from December 1 to 15, in celebration of the International Day of People with Disabilities. To support this category and enhance banking transactions without imposing additional requirements, the bank implemented various measures aimed at expanding the base of beneficiaries of its services among people with disabilities.

The bank’s participation in the initiative comes by allowing the opening of a “Wafer” account for free, without a minimum amount to open the account, in addition to issuing prepaid cards and a free Meeza card. In addition to the free version of the “Cairo Cash” wallet, internet and mobile banking services are only available with the national number starting from the age of 15 years.
Moreover, Banque du Caire was distinguished by offering a special offer for people of determination only, which includes a 50% exemption from administrative expenses for personal loans.
Banque du Caire also demonstrated a strong commitment to helping individuals with disabilities by dedicating several branches across the Republic and providing them with accessible paths to both the branch and ATM.
In addition, employees have received training in sign language, and special waiting numbers have been assigned to reduce their waiting times in the branch. Furthermore, banking forms are available in Braille, and product specifications, along with terms and conditions, are provided on accessible CDs. On the bank’s website, in addition to the free home visit service provided to all customers with disabilities and the elderly aged 65 years or over, where individuals can arrange a visit by contacting the bank’s customer service center.
During the event, Banque du Caire participated in several governorates across more than 30 locations, such as universities, institutes and youth centres, to promote awareness of the importance of financial inclusion and the various financial products and services available to all groups.
The bank pays great attention to people of determination, believing in their exceptional ability to challenge and ensuring achievements in many fields, most notably the sports sector, where the bank sponsors the world champion Sherif Othman, the Paralympic weightlifting champion, and the inspiring champion Ibrahim Hamadtou, the table tennis player and distinguished participant in the Games. Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020, in addition to the bank’s efforts to support a group of charitable organizations to support people with special needs and provide them with a better life. In addition to Banque du Caire’s partnership with Helm Foundation, which aims to qualify participants with disabilities with the necessary skills to successfully enter the labor market.
