Minya’s choice to hold this conference came ten years after the first session was held, in appreciation of its pivotal role in the Egyptian cultural movement.

The personality of Dr. Abdel Hamid Ibrahim is considered a main focus of this course, as he made great contributions to the development of the literary and intellectual movement in Egypt, especially in Minya. He founded the doctrine of “Arab moderation,” which aims to achieve a balance between heritage and modernity, and presented many studies and research. Which enriched the Arab library.

Dr. Abdel Hamid Ibrahim’s career was characterized by prolific scientific production, as he presented hundreds of books, research and articles. He also founded many academic and cultural institutions, such as the Center for Arabic Manuscripts at Minya University, the Faculties of Arts and Dar Al-Ulum in Minya, and others. He had a pivotal role in establishing the Egyptian Writers Conference. He headed the Taha Hussein Festival for many years.
