Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, said that the Ministry of Housing, represented by the Urban Communities Authority, had been addressed; By restricting vacant industrial lands under its jurisdiction to new and attached cities in order to quickly offer them to investors.

He added during the press conference held today at the Council of Ministers headquarters in the Administrative Capital, that 19 plots of land and suspended industrial facilities belonging to the Ministry of Business Sector were exploited to be presented to the private sector for exploitation and operation in partnership or individually.
He pointed out that the built-up vacant lands and hangars owned by the Ministry of Military Production, which number 21 plots of land and 1 hangar in the Cairo and Qalyubia governorates, will be exploited to establish industrial facilities on them.
He confirmed that the Minister of Local Development was addressed in our letter No. 10364 dated 9/30/2024 to direct the governors to establish an investors’ association for each industrial zone, which will be formed from the region’s investors, which will undertake the management of the industrial zone and supervise all its internal affairs, and in particular, security, cleaning and maintenance services will be directed to the region. Industrial, managing and maintaining all internal facilities of the industrial zone in coordination with the competent authorities, and collecting maintenance expenses and fees for services from investors of the industrial zone to spend them on its purposes.
