Today, the fifth UAE aid ship arrived in the city of… ArishIt carries 5,112 tons of humanitarian materials, in preparation for its introduction into the Gaza Strip, as part of Operation Gallant Knight 3 to meet the needs of the Palestinian brothers in the Strip.
The ship set off from the port of Al-Hamriyah in the Emirate of Dubai, on October 30, carrying food, shelter and medical supplies, in addition to 5 ambulances, which were provided by the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, and the Khalifa Foundation. Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for Humanitarian Works, and Al Foah Dates Company, as the total aid provided to Gaza, so far, has reached more than 34 thousand tons, according to what was published by the Emirates News Agency.
Providing humanitarian support to our Palestinian brothers
Within the framework of Operation Gallant Knight 3, the UAE launched many initiatives, including the establishment of two field hospitals, the first inside the Gaza Strip, and the second a floating hospital off the coast of the city of Arish, in addition to 5 automatic bakeries, providing flour to 8 existing bakeries in Gaza, and establishing 6 desalination plants that produce two million gallons of water. Water is pumped daily into the Gaza Strip, benefiting more than 600,000 people. We also carried out 53 successful airdrops of humanitarian aid to isolated areas that cannot be reached by aid. The total amount of aid dropped reached 3,623 tons of relief materials as part of the Birds of Charity humanitarian operation. .
The UAE continues to work to intensify efforts to ensure the flow and arrival of aid and its distribution through all available means and methods to contribute to alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip.
