During its meetings this week, the government approved a number of decisions, including a draft law regulating the activity of third- and fourth-level biosecurity and security facilities within the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The draft law obliges those establishments that carry out their activities without a license; By adjusting its conditions in accordance with the provisions of this law, within one year from the date of issuance of the executive regulations, as authorized by the Prime Minister, based on the proposal of the competent minister; With the approval of the Council of Ministers, the aforementioned period may be extended for another similar period.

The Council of Ministers approved the draft decision of the President of the Republic amending some provisions of Presidential Decision No. 523 of 2019 to establish a private university called “Al-Hayat University,” and the draft decision of the President of the Republic to establish a private university called “Obour University of Science and Technology,” in Sharkia Governorate.

The Council of Ministers also approved a draft decision of the President of the Republic regarding the allocation of an area of ​​about 50 acres, from privately owned state-owned land, in the district of the center and city of Assiut, for the benefit of the governorate, for use in establishing a solid waste recycling plant.

The Council of Ministers approved permission for the Urban Development Fund to contract with an international company to provide consulting services for the project to manage and operate the Shorbagy Hotel in Cairo Governorate, in light of the state’s plan to develop historic Cairo to restore its vital role in expressing the urban character of Egypt and making it a tourist attraction.

The Council of Ministers also referred a draft law amending some provisions of the Construction Law promulgated by Law No. 119 of 2008 to the Ministry of Justice for study.

The Council of Ministers also approved the work mechanism that would ensure that all parties in charge of the customs release system and the branches of all banks in the ports work seven days a week, including weekends.
