General merchandise came in third place in terms of the percentage of increase, as it witnessed an increase during the month of October 2024 compared to the month of October 2023 by approximately 49.2%, as approximately 893.5 thousand tons were traded during this month, while 598.7 thousand tons were traded during the same month in 2023. .

Contained goods witnessed an increase of 8.8% during the month of October 2024 compared to the month of October 2023, as approximately 2.1 million tons were traded during the month, while 1.9 million tons were traded during the month of October of the previous year, where the number of containers constituted about 179. These increases in the trading movement of various types of goods resulted in an increase in the total trading volume during the month of October 2024 to 6.8 million tons, an increase of 38.8% compared to the month of October 2023.
