Al-Sisi confirms his readiness to cooperate with the foreign private sector to activate joint projects and transfer expertise to Egyptian workers

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with the heads of a number of major international companies operating in the industrial sector, participating in the third edition of the annual international forum and exhibition for industries, which is held in Egypt during the period from 25 to 27 November.

This came in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, and Engineer Mohamed Zaki Al-Suwaidi, President of the Federation of Egyptian Industries.

At the beginning of the meeting, the President welcomed the attendees, stressing Egypt’s keenness to make all efforts to stimulate the industrial sector, with the aim of localizing the industry, encouraging the use of technology in industry, and developing specialized technological industries, as well as strengthening small and medium industries and increasing their competitiveness.

President Sisi referred to the steps taken by Egypt to improve the investment climate, remove obstacles facing investors, and develop the business environment, stressing that the Egyptian government will continue to make efforts and take the necessary decisions and measures to remove obstacles facing investors.

In this regard, the President stressed Egypt’s interest in activating partnerships with regional and international entities, in the interest of the state and investors, explaining that as the state affirms its commitment to supporting the industrial sector, it is ready to enhance cooperation with the foreign private sector by activating joint projects, in a way that ensures the transfer of… Experiences for Egyptian workers.

He also stressed that these projects must target a significant and tangible increase in the local component of final products, and the localization of the production requirements industry.

President Sisi stressed the presence of multiple sectors among Egypt’s priorities in industry localization efforts, including investment in providing desalination and water recycling requirements, to support relevant national projects.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, explained that the heads of the companies present praised, for their part, the great efforts made by the Egyptian government to improve the investment climate and strengthen the partnership with the private sector, reviewing the opportunities available for cooperation between the two sides, and stressing their keenness to develop cooperation with Egypt in a way that achieves mutual interests. .

The official spokesman indicated that a number of heads of companies specialized in the sectors of the automobile industry, feed industries, household appliances, engineering industries, the wood and furniture industry, food industries, textile industry, cosmetics industry, and the construction sector and desalination plants, conducted an interactive dialogue with the president during the meeting. In it, they stressed their keenness to respond to the state’s policy of localizing industry, increasing the local product in manufacturing, and their appreciation for the facilities and tax exemptions provided by the state to encourage investment.
