The club decided Al-Ahlyreplacing Mohamed Abdullah, the injured team player, during the Red Team’s roster participating in the Intercontinental Cup.
Al-Ahly replaces its injured player on the Intercontinental Cup roster
Al-Ahly announced on Thursday that Muhammad Abdullah was injured at the front muscle level, as proven by the medical examinations conducted by the player.
According to what Cairo 24 learned, Al-Ahly decided to replace Mohamed Abdullah, and included Samir Mohamed instead in the list participating in the Intercontinental Cup.
The tournament regulations give participating teams the right to replace injured players on the 26-player list to compete in the tournament, provided that only 23 players enter the match.
The source continued in his statements that the injury will keep Muhammad Abdullah away from participating with the red team for a period of 3 weeks due to the injury.
It is worth noting that the Al-Ahly camp in Qatar includes 27 players, according to the list that left Cairo and was announced by Swiss coach Marcel Koller, the team’s coach.
