Al-Ahly mourns Mohamed Shawky, Kafr El-Sheikh player

Mahmoud Al-Khatib, President of Al-Ahly Club, members of the Board of Directors, executive management and sports sectors, mourned with great sadness the player of Kafr El-Sheikh Club. Muhammad Shawqi Who passed away today.

Al-Ahly’s Board of Directors extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to the player’s family and relatives, praying to God Almighty to bestow His mercy on the deceased, to enter his spacious paradise, and to inspire the honorable family with patience and solace.

Earlier, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, mourned the player Mohamed Shawky, a player from Kafr El-Sheikh, who passed away at dawn on Tuesday, following a cardiac arrest inside Zarqa Central Hospital in Kafr El-Sheikh.

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, in a statement published on the Ministry’s official page on Facebook, offered his sincere condolences and sympathy to the player’s family and Egyptian sports fans on the death of Kafr El-Sheikh Club player Mohamed Shawqi, praying to God Almighty to rest the deceased in His vast mercy and to reside in His spacious Paradise. He inspires his family and relatives patience and solace.

The statement added that Dr. Ashraf Sobhi is deputizing the Director of the Youth and Sports Directorate to attend the funeral prayer, as well as take the necessary and facilitate all procedures.

He revealed that the Supreme Committee for Medical Care at the Ministry of Youth and Sports is currently taking all measures towards comprehensive verification of all the circumstances of the incident, based on the directives of the Minister of Youth and Sports, in preparation for referring the incident to the official investigation authorities, in the event that any violations or negligence on the part of one of the concerned authorities is proven.
