The United Nations Tourism Organization announced that the village of Abu Ghosoun had won among the best rural tourist villages for the year 2024, during the participation of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in the meetings of the 122nd session of the Executive Council of the United Nations Tourism Organization, which is currently being held in the city of Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.
It is noteworthy that the village of Abu Ghosoun has many famous diving spots that are visited by tourists from different countries of the world, such as the famous Hankorab Beach, as well as the two castles in the south, and its beaches display the dugong – the mermaid – as well as sea turtles and dolphins.
