Journalist Khaled Al-Ghandour revealed that Mahmoud Taher, former president of Al-Ahly Club, apologized for not running in the elections. Football Association It is scheduled for December 10, after nominations open on Sunday, for special reasons.
Al-Ghandour said that until the last hours, there was intense pressure on Mahmoud Taher to run in the elections for the position of representative on Hani Abu Rida’s list, but he apologized and closed this file permanently.
He continued, that Hani Abu Rida will submit his and his list’s nomination papers next Thursday, and there will be daily sessions before officially deciding on the members of the list.
He concluded that, so far, Abu Raida has set next Thursday as the date for submitting his candidacy papers and pledged in his sessions with officials to reform the Egyptian football system, address all the negatives, and return the Egyptian teams to the ranks of the adults on the African continent.
