The official said: We believe there is a deal. We are on the goal line, but we have not crossed the line yet because the Israeli cabinet needs to ratify the agreement tomorrow, and there is still a possibility, as is always the case, for something to happen that might disrupt things.

A high-ranking Israeli official confirmed that an agreement had been reached on the details of the deal and the components of the agreement, according to the Hebrew Walla website.

The official said it was likely that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would call the political and security cabinet to meet tomorrow and final approve the agreement.

The proposed agreement includes a ceasefire lasting for 60 days, during which the Israeli army will gradually withdraw from southern Lebanon, while the Lebanese army will deploy in the border areas, and Hezbollah must transfer its heavy weapons to the north of the Litani River.

The American official confirmed that the dispute that arose over France’s role in the mechanism for monitoring the implementation of the agreement had been resolved, and explained that France had pledged to take steps to improve its relations with Israel, and would participate in the mechanism for implementing the agreement.

This dispute had escalated between Tel Aviv and Paris after the International Criminal Court’s decision to issue arrest warrants against the Israeli Prime Minister, Netanyahu, and the former Defense Minister, Yoav Galant, against the backdrop of war crimes in the Gaza Strip, which sparked great tension during the negotiations.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority also reported that the agreement with Lebanon had been completed and all that remained was its approval in the cabinet.
