A state of sadness prevailed in the city of Belqas, especially within the Belqas Youth Club in Dakahlia Governorate, after news of the death of basketball player Omar Farhat in a traffic accident.

The Belqas Youth Club issued a statement mourning a player: There is no god but God and there is no power or strength except in God the Most High, and we only say what pleases God Almighty. To God is what He gives and to God is what He takes. We belong to God and to Him we shall return.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Belqas Youth Club, all members of the Council, the technical staff of the first team, the players and the basketball staff extended their sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the player of the club’s first basketball team, the player Omar Farhat, who passed away this morning following a painful accident yesterday. May God have mercy on him, forgive him and bless him. With your mercy and grant his family patience and solace.
