New York Federal Reserve Bank President John Williams said in an interview published by Barron’s on Thursday that he expects inflation to slow and interest rates to fall further.

Williams told Barron’s newspaper that an inflation rate of two percent is the best rate that can balance the central bank’s goals of employment and price stability.
