Remittances from Egyptians working abroad increased by 65.5% during the month of August 2024 to record about $2.6 billion (compared to about $1.6 billion during August 2023).
Remittances during the period July/August 2024 also witnessed an increase of 76.2%, recording about $5.6 billion (compared to about $3.2 billion during the corresponding period).
Thus, the first eight months of the current year 2024 (the period January/August 2024) will witness an increase of 36.4% to record about 18.1 billion dollars (compared to about 13.3 billion dollars during the same period in 2023).
