The security services at the Ministry of Interior continued their efforts to combat crime in all its forms, especially crimes of forging and promoting official documents.
A gang formation was arrested on charges of forging official documents
The security services in the North Sinai Security Directorate were able to seize a car driven by a person, a resident of the third police station in Al-Arish, for holding a forged driving license. It was also found that the plate installed on the car was fake.
Upon conducting investigations, it was revealed that a woman and three persons with criminal information residing in the Dakahlia Governorate were behind the crime of forging the aforementioned license, and that they formed a gang whose criminal activity was specialized in forging various official documents.
Following the codification of the procedures in coordination with the Dakahlia Security Directorate, they were arrested and in possession of seized items, most notably 11 stamps of the Republic’s emblem from different parties, 9 stamps from different parties, an X-ray machine, 7 straws, a laptop, a printer, an amount of plastic packaging and cleaning materials, and a number of empty forms for various government agencies. Counterfeits, a number of national ID cards, educational certificates, a transcript of success, educational certificates, a birth certificate, and forms of employment contracts and work certificates for countries. A foreign woman, a number of customer service papers at a bank, and 4 mobile phones were examined and found to contain evidence confirming their criminal activity.
When they were confronted, they admitted to committing the incident as referred to, and legal measures were taken.
