Director Ahmed El-Bendary sparked widespread controversy after he published a post on his Facebook account, warning filmmakers against dealing with the star Mohamed Saad.
This came after a sharp dispute broke out between them, during the preparation of a film bearing the name Al-Hawi, which was later changed to Al-Dashash, according to what Al-Bandari mentioned.
Al-Bendari revealed the details of the story, saying that he spent three months preparing the complete concept for the film, from the scenario to character design, decor, and clothing, while presenting an integrated directorial vision.
He added that despite the warnings against dealing with Mohamed Saad, he insisted on choosing him as the hero of the film, and considered it a step forward in his artistic career.
The director indicated that Saad initially expressed his admiration for the script, but changed his position after communicating with the producer, claiming that the script was weak and inappropriate, which led to the project being aborted.
Al-Bendari was later surprised by the announcement of the film Al-Dashash, with the same idea and a different team.
Al-Bendari ended his post by warning filmmakers against dealing with Mohamed Saad, stressing the importance of securing intellectual rights and protecting the effort made, stressing that commitment and transparency are the basis of success in the artistic community.

The film “Al-Dashash” starring the artist Mohamed Saad, and participating in the work are: Bassem Samra, Zeina, Nisreen Tafesh, Nisreen Amin, Mustafa Abu Saree, Mohamed Jumaa, Rashwan Tawfiq, Walid Fawaz, Mohamed Youssef Ozo, and other artists.
Mohamed Saad is scheduled to appear during the events of the work in a completely different way to his fans and lovers than what he presented before, as the work takes place within a suspenseful comedy framework, and carries many surprises.
